Blue Album^^
Hello? Let me show you my album. Though you might not find something good, I wish you enjoy somewhat funny to observe a man's change in the time step by step.
The first one is what I took when I was freshman in the winter. I was sitting on my sister's chair, and you may can see a snack in front of my left hand. Yeah, I was eating it -_-;;
It must seem I have nothing in my mouth. Do you think I have something in it actually? Well, I cannot remember it exactly either. Perhaps nothing.
The blue scarp around my neck may attract your attention. I didn't consider it so particular, but others had thought it very unique. Later, I could hear from them, it was because it was first time for them to see a boy wear a scarp on neck.
Let me tell you why tried it. Without it, my clothing looked like a training suit. At the beginning of my undergraduate days a professor misunderstood me that way.
It was the first time we, the freshmen students, meet the professors and lecture of my department, where he took a sight of me and said, "Did you finish your training just now?" So I came to think, oh my clothing causes such a misdunderstanings, and then I made tries to add some more modifications on my look. In winter I use a long neckpiece, while I used that scarp in autumn and spring.
But I don't use it these days.
The next photo was taken when I was surfmore, just before climbing a mountain close to Seoul. It was at the beginning of the winter. A friend of mine, who climbed the mountain, took this photo for me. You can see the mountain on the background of the photo, and its name is "Buk Han San".
You can see my long neckpiece in the photo as it was a little bit cold that day. But my face look vague, especially compared with those photos taken indoor, doens't it?
It was a little windy too that day, and not so cold, which remind me of the beautiful memory with my old friends, whom I cannot meet often, whenever I saw the trees moves their branches along the wave of the winter.
And the third of left was taken when I went to a women's university for festival when I was junior. Some friends invited me, believe or not...-_-; I guess you can see easily it was at night that I took that photo.
As it was the fall, I had not neckpiece but scarf at my neck, and... I took that in a somewhat broad place like a playground or a parking lot.
Can you see a rose by me? It was tucked in my bag. And this rose is not true one. It was my ball point pen. A pen shaped of a rose. I made it^^.
I had sensaysh time there with my friends of the university. I still have the old memory so I have strong disposition to think that every woman of the university is intelligent and pretty.
The next is one you see in left, where I'm on a hard freezed pond in front of the college of human science of SNU. I was senior at that time.
Look at the ground. Isn't it white? So it is as it is ice. Of course, it was winter, you see.
You can recognize the season seeing my coat and my neckpiece, too. The light beamed from the opposite side, which is bad for taking photo, so my face is under the shadow and you cannot see my eyes or nose clearly. But I guess you can see you must not expect something much form it, in spite of it, contrary to the atmosphere in photo.^^
Doesn't it seem a kid is standing on a big ice? But I'm not so short compared with my friends.
The small bridge, which you can see behind me, has a legend: if a true bachelor stroll on it with a true virgin it will be broken down. But it never happened such a thing yet. So everyone of my university believe there is no true bachelor nor true virgine.^^
Sorry, just kidding...
and I took the next photo right side when I was senior again. It was just before I graduate the college in fron to Kyu Jang Gak, an old library of Cho Seon Dinasty. Also I was wearing a coat. You may think my bag in the photo is not usual for college student, and people have been curious of what I had in it.
What you think I had? A bundle of bills? Or dynamite or a sort of time bomb? Or some important secret paper? Well, let me lease confined in your imagination.
And a thing more. Only the bag is black, and you know why? Everything of mine was blue, but only the bag was black so many friends asked me why. Let me tell you the truth. It was for fear that people would have regard it as strange if I also had blue bag.
It was a little windy of cold, but I was full of hope to graduate soon, so I couldn't feel so cold. Look at my face. As it was winter it was whiter, but full of smile, isn't it?
And the next. I took it also when I was senior, in a lobby of student center.
You will be able to see it was winter, too. The coat and the neckpiece. A drawing similar to this is what you see to the right. How about? Is it similar? Some people insist nothing is similar except all the cloths are blue, but those insistence cannot change my belief that they are similar.
In this photo, you can see the book in my hand is not blue but red, and there are some people that ask me why it is not blue but red, and to tell you the truth. The other's wonder why everything of mine is blue- it is not the reason, but it was because I borrowed it from my friend that passed by at that time. He was major in a sort of technology, and every book he read was very difficult, full of mathematical equation. So I thought it would look nicer to take a photo with such a thick and difficlult book.
The next. It is one I took with my friend just before my graduation day. The right one you see. I took many photos with him here and there all around my school on that day. It is the culture center that is behind us.
My friend is called Man Hee, who was captain of Kendo clubl of SNU. He was major in the computer technology. He finished his master course in Japan after that day. He is very good guy.
It was very fine that day, and I added some filter effect wih photoshop, but I'm not sure whether it looks better or not.
You may not be able to see my face clearly as it was taken a little far from us. Think it lucky. Nothing you can expect.
And the next photo I took in front of the culture center with him. If you've been in SNU once you would be able to recognize the place I'm sitting.
Taken from a little bit far, so I was lucky again to hide my characteristic with too bright sunshine.
And the next is one of the right. Even though you might think I'm dozing in the photo, I'm not in true, I'm reading a book. It looks it's at night, but it is daytime. I guess we didn't use good flash light, and indoor.
Anyway I tried my best to make a pose of sincere reading, but I failed and revealed my usual pose drowsing only. Please understand me. I wish you recognize me just with closed eyes, thank you very much. I remember that classroom belongs to the same building where I'm studing now.
It was the first semester of my graduate days. It was spring. As it was spring I didn't have neckpiece, but the scarf instead.
The last photo of this page to the left was taken in my first semester of my graduate course, too. I took that photo in my lab. The building you can see through the window has same look as the one where I was.
Yes, almost every building of SNU had almost same look at that time, so that the freshmen got confused often to move finding their next lecture hall.
Though the books on the desk are in well-ordered state I wish you don't think I'm lazy student. I'd like to point out it is not always that a good student have everything or every book in good order.
For now, you are done of looking around my small album.
Like everyone else, the meaning of my album is a dear memory, or a trace of my past. It is one of my introduction to show you them talking this and that.
You may complaint that you cannot see the recent photos or the older ones. It is because I don't take photo often that I don't have many recent ones, and because I couldn't scan the old photos yet that you cannot see them. More than that, I think they would be enough for you, who should not be much interested in my personal photos only.
Thanks a lot for your interests.
This english version of "My Album" was made for Francois, my hyongnim, and his son Vincent, far away over the pacific ocean. They sent me their photos but I couldn't, so I promised my introduction page with my album. I'm very sorry to be late making this. Now I'm expecting to see them some day, not so far in the future.
